An amplifier used in a feedback system has a nominal open-loop gain of A = 2.0e+4. In a batch of amplifiers, the variance of the open-loop gain is known to be ±60%. The circuits used to make the feedback path all have β = 0.01667 exactly. (There is no variance in β.) If we build 5000 versions of the closed-loop circuits using the imperfect amps and the perfect feedback networks, what are the minimum and maximum values for closed-loop gain that we would expect to see?
